The key to growing your blog and business boils down to creating consistent content that adds value to your audience.
Consistency is Key.
Every time we share content whether on our blog or on social media, we’re not only adding value to our audience and solving a problem they care about; we’re also building credibility (you know, proving we actually KNOW what we’re talking about), establishing our brand, and cultivating a community with our audience.
But like any relationship, if we only show up sparingly when we’re inspired to, when we’re in need of something (sharing a sponsored post, or want to make a sale) or better yet simply when we’re in the“mood”, our audience will slowly (but surely) begin to lose their trust in our brand.
Why Consistent Content Matters.
Whether you’re just starting out, or you’ve been blogging for years, the number one thing that will help you build a successful blog isn’t pretty brand colors or a dope website. But, consistently creating quality content for your blog. Here’s why.
- It helps for better SEO ranking and growing traffic to your blog.
- Consistent content builds trust in your brand because your audience knows what to expect from you, and when.
- You ultimately become an authority and expert in your niche.
- Your community and audience grows because readers love new content.
Needless to say, consistency is really what separates the wheat from the chaff, and like most things, consistency is a learned behavior. Yes it’s hard, but lucky for you, it’s also POSSIBLE.
How To Create Consistently For Your Blog:
Here’s are 12 strategies to help you start building consistency with your blog that you can start implementing today.
1. FIND YOUR FOCUS
Purpose fuels productivity. It’s impossible to reach a goal if you haven’t established a reason for “why” you need to reach said goal in the first place. So one of the biggest reasons why we struggle with creating content is not because we’re lazy or need some extra motivation, but because we simply lack direction.
And if lack of clarity keeps us from creating one piece of quality content, it definitely won’t help us do it repeatedly or in this case, consistently. But when you’re clear on what our focus is, creating quality content becomes a breeze. This is why it’s important to always be clear on what your niche is.

2. BUILD A BANK FOR CONSISTENT CONTENT
Content creation happens in three phases. First the ideas, then the drafting of said idea, then finally the output.
The problem is, often times we skip the first two phases and shoot straight to output. And it probably works a few times. But the “build content as you go model” is often not sustainable.
Because we’re human we’ll have days when we’re completely uninspired, or preoccupied with life and other things. So when some juicy SEO worthy idea to share with our audience doesn’t miraculously fall on us, we blame it on ‘writer block.’
This is why you need a content bank.
Having an file of ideas and topics for your blog, videos, and social media helps you create content consistently because you’ll always have an archive to refer back to whenever you run fresh out of ideas, or simply need something valuable to share with your audience.
3. AUTOMATE YOUR CONTENT SCHEDULE
When you schedule your content ahead of time whether it’s just a few days or several months, you don’t have to worry about falling behind (or apart). This also helps you focus on other day to day tasks by delegating the majority of your workload ahead of time.
When things get scheduled, they get done. This is always the case when it comes to content and a sure fire way to make sure you are consistently posting, sharing, and creating quality content on a consistent basis. Some of the things you can easily schedule and automate for your blog are
- Blog posts
